A 7-Step Breathwork Practice to Process Emotion
Here’s a practice I use with my clients—designed to help you meet emotional upheaval with presence and power:
- Pause. Sit down, close your eyes, and breathe deeply.
- Notice. Where is tension showing up in your body?
- Name. Identify the emotion without judgement.
- Inquire. Ask: What message do you have for me?
- Breathe with it. Let yourself feel it fully.
- Exhale to release. Imagine the emotion moving through and out.
- Choose. Ask: What now feels aligned?
This process transforms emotion from something heavy and stuck…
into something clear and purposeful.
